Workshop Operations Manager

This is a leadership opportunity that requires a high-performing individual to drive workshop output and motivate the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing daily workflow, allocating jobs, and overseeing workshop operations. They will be able to prioritize tasks, minimize delays, and solve problems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the show: Manage daily operations, allocate jobs, and oversee workshop output.
  • Keep things moving: Prioritize tasks, minimize delays, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Be the bridge: Work closely with Service Advisors to keep customers informed and expectations realistic.
  • Support the Foreman: Ensure daily processes align with manufacturer requirements.
  • Lead the team: Motivate and support technicians without micro-managing.
  • Keep it clean and compliant: From safety to warranty compliance – you’ll set the tone.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, or Senior Technician in a dealership environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturer warranty processes and compliance expectations.
  • Natural leadership skills – you’ve earned the respect of techs and advisors before.
  • Skilled communicator – calm under pressure, direct but respectful.
  • Mechanically qualified (preferred).
  • Familiarity with manufacturer systems or Pentana DMS (a bonus).
