Key Role in Supporting Mine Geology Team
We are seeking a proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude to join our service team as a Pit Technician. This role plays a vital part in supporting the mine geology team in day-to-day pit operations.
About the Job- Collect and record high-quality geological data for grade control and orebody definition in gold mining operations.
- Perform field-based geological sampling and logging in active mining pits.
- Mark up ore zones, boundaries, and geological features in the pit.
- Assist geologists with grade control programs, including blast hole logging and sampling.
- Manage and maintain sampling equipment and materials.
- Monitor sample quality and ensure compliance with QAQC protocols.
- Previous experience in a similar role within mining or exploration is preferred.
- You're willing to learn basic geological concepts and mining processes.
- You're competent with field equipment and sampling procedures.
- You have strong attention to detail and meticulous data recording habits.
This is an 8:6 roster (8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 6 days off rotation) in Mt Celia and Rama Gold Mines. The position is permanent full-time.
