Job Title: Clinical Operations Leader

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Leader to advance nursing knowledge and professional practice, ensuring evidence-based care of patients and families.

The successful candidate will direct and develop advanced nursing practice within the program and across the patient care spectrum. They will also manage nursing competency within the programs associated and be responsible to the OR.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a practice environment promoting clinical excellence in patient/family-focused care
  • Act as a leader to nursing staff and the healthcare team regarding evidence-based advanced nursing practice, problem-based needs analysis, and strategies for change
  • Support nursing staff in developing clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills through case consultation, clinical demonstration, case review, etc.
  • Direct and develop nursing education and professional development programs within the program/specialty area and across the corporation
  • Develop, deliver, implement, and evaluate education programs to advance the practice of nursing across the hospital corporation
  • Evaluate clinical practice of nursing staff and participate in performance development planning for nurses annually and as indicated
  • Share advanced nursing knowledge and/or research findings through presentation and/or publication at local, regional, national, and international levels

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse, eligible for registration with the relevant College of Nurses
  • OR certification
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing required, Masters in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in an OR setting or other relevant clinical experience required
  • Experience in Urology and Pediatrics preferred
  • Minimum 3 years patient/family/staff teaching experience preferred
  • French Language proficiency an asset
