As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the underwriting process by delivering exceptional client service.The primary purpose of this role is to assist the underwriting team by entering data into systems, reviewing policy documents, handling queries, and working with underwriters to review submissions.You will be responsible for ensuring timely registration of bookings and liaising with operations to resolve queries regarding new business submissions.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure bookings are registered within required timeframes and to the required quality standard (right-first-time).
    • Act as the first point of contact for processing complex business.
    • Liaise with operations to resolve queries regarding new business submissions to ensure timely registration.
    • Review results to maintain reserving rights.
    • Prepare underwriting files for Renewal and New Business (including data entry, market research, and completing raters).
    • Liaise with brokers and internal departments for credit control, claims and risk information.
    • Follow up with brokers for outstanding binding instructions or subjectivities.
    • Review policy documents produced by Operations and create ad hoc documents as needed.
    • Assist with reconciliation of aged finance items.
    • Ensure underwriting files are complete and meet audit requirements; manage transition of policies.
    • Ensure policy tracking tools reflect current policy status at all times.
    • Support the development and implementation of business processing tools by acting as SME and assisting in requirements gathering and UAT.

Qualifications include strong general computer literacy, effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. A university degree or equivalent is also desirable.
