The Design Services Coordinator is a vital role within the City Delivery Directorate, responsible for providing advice and making recommendations on civil design, traffic, transport, and road safety issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering and be eligible for Membership with Engineers Australia. Strong report writing and team leading skills are essential, as well as the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and represent the council capably to developers, consultants, other government agencies, and the public.

A working knowledge of local government, project management, and relevant engineering policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices is highly regarded. Self-motivation and a commitment to teamwork and quality customer service are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and making recommendations on civil design, traffic, transport, and road safety issues
  • Developing and implementing projects to improve infrastructure and transportation systems
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Representing the council in meetings and presentations

Requirements:
