Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Service Ambassador to join our close-knit Customer Service team.

This role involves:

  • Providing exceptional service to customers
  • Taking and processing orders
  • Customer administration and general office/site duties
  • Promoting new products and sales opportunities to our customer base of restaurants and retailers within the gourmet food sector

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Attending to customer enquiries, requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answering phones promptly and completing assigned tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Cross-selling and up-selling across the entire portfolio
  • Attending internal product training classes to stay updated on existing and new products
  • Providing product expertise via telephone or product notes
  • Creating dependable relationships with your team and customers
  • Exceeding customer expectations

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Hospitality or retail professional experience is an advantage
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude, proactive, shows initiative and works well under pressure
