Job Title: Public Safety Advocate

The position of Public Safety Advocate is a crucial role within our organization, focused on safeguarding the community and promoting a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to residents, ratepayers, and visitors on compliance matters.
  • Conduct prompt investigations into complaints received, including customer feedback.
  • Manage time effectively and patrol the municipal area as required to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Accurately record and submit all activities, updating council systems daily.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of animal-related facilities and restricted breed premises.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate IV in Statutory Compliance (Government) and Animal Control and Regulation or relevant experience in law enforcement environments.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain flexibility in urgent situations.
  • Demonstrated empathy and conflict resolution skills.
  • A firearm License is desirable.
  • Current valid Driver's Licence.
  • An Employee Working with Children Check is mandatory.
