Cloud Architect Job Summary

This role is responsible for designing and implementing robust, automated cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.

  • Design, implement, and manage automated cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and related IaC tools.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Support secure and scalable cloud platforms across Azure and M365, with a strong focus on operational resilience.
  • Align deployments with ACSC Essential 8 and ISM frameworks, supporting incident response and compliance.
  • Mentor team members and embed DevOps best practices across infrastructure and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver outcomes that align with organisational goals.
  • Support Landing Zone architecture design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining enterprise-level cloud infrastructure.
  • Implementing DevOps practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensuring security and compliance across cloud platforms.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise cloud environments (Azure/M365).
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform and/or Bicep for infrastructure deployment and configuration.
  • Experience building and maintaining DevOps pipelines, infrastructure automation, and secure cloud operations.
  • Familiarity with ACSC Essential 8, ISM, and government security protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python) for cloud operations and automation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
