Job Title: Tyre Sales Assistant

Join Costco Wholesale, a leading international retailer, as a Tyre Sales Assistant in our North Lakes - Brisbane store. This part-time role offers a minimum of 24 hours per week, with a rotating roster that includes evenings and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Preparation: Locate member cars in the tyre shop area, list any body damage on the service order, and drive the vehicle into the install bay.
  • Tyre Installation: Remove wheels using an impact gun, follow safety and security procedures, and attach new valve stems, mount new tyres on wheels, and fill tyres to the appropriate air pressure.
  • Balance and Repair: Operate an automatic balance machine to get readings of proper weight and placement, attach lead weights to rims, and reattach wheels to vehicles using an impact gun and hand torque wrench.
  • Quality Control: Alert supervisors or managers to complete a 9-point check and authorise vehicle release, and perform a second torque check after manager or supervisor on tyres installed by others.
  • Customer Service: Assist with sales, stock tyres in sales areas, and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with monthly stocktake (inventory) and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  • Cert II in Tyre Fitting (Preferred)
  • Manual open driver's license
