Information Management Expertise Sought

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Management professional to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to provide expert advice and guidance on information management matters across the agency.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic advice and leadership in relation to the long-term preservation, management, and access to the agency's information assets.
  • Ensure knowledge of contemporary best practice and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations.
  • Lead a team of professionals, role modelling leadership behaviours whilst implementing and promoting a climate of innovation and continuous improvement in information management.
  • Develop, maintain, implement and deliver systems for keeping, updating, accessing and preserving information including implementing strategies to move to full electronic information management practices.
About You
  • In-depth experience in developing, implementing, and continuously improving a records and information management governance framework, within an Australian Public Service (APS) agency.
  • An extensive understanding of Australian information management legislation, standards, policies and authorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, with proven ability as a trusted advisor to senior management.
  • Highly developed project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines to achieve results in a busy environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated professional experience in Records Management, Information Management, Knowledge Management, Archives Management, or a related discipline.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong track record of achievement in information management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
