Deliver Impactful Healthcare Services as a Court Liaison OfficerThe Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Court Liaison Officer to join their team. This role involves working closely with the Local Court Magistrate to divert defendants with mental health issues from the criminal justice system into the community.To be successful in this position, you will need to possess strong clinical assessment and diagnostic interview skills, as well as experience working in acute mental health settings. A postgraduate qualification in mental health is also required.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Local Court Magistrate in diverting defendants with mental health issues from the criminal justice system.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of defendants and provide recommendations for treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health.
  • Five years' experience working in an acute mental health setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic interview skills.
