We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take on a challenging role with a leading company in the insurance industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large portfolio of debtors, including local Australian businesses and multinational clients;
  • Collaborate with the support team in India to allocate cash and focus on reducing debtors;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Produce monthly reports for management on credit control balances and trends;
  • Reconcile brokers' statements and payments made to offshore service centers;
  • Accelerate the collection process for aged debt;
  • Review premium status and respond to operations before settlement of claims and refund premiums;
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed by the APAC Credit Control Manager;
  • Maintain compliance with internal company procedures and represent AXA XL in a professional manner.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the insurance industry. You will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work effectively within a team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in debt recovery or a related field;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with financial services and regulations;
  • Highly organized and efficient with exceptional time management skills.

What We Offer
