Head of Commercial Debt Recovery in Sydney

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in senior collections roles, with a strong background in commercial collections. They will possess advanced knowledge of IT solutions used in optimising collections activities and be proficient in negotiating commercial outcomes to ensure the best possible outcome for the business.

About the Role:

As a Collections and Recoveries Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing effective collection strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce bad debt.
  • Managing a small team of collectors, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they achieve their targets.
  • Working closely with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes to processes and procedures.
  • Providing proactive reporting of commercial KPIs to stakeholders, highlighting trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements impacting the collections team.


The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in senior collections roles, with a strong background in commercial collections.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT solutions used in optimising collections activities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering great results.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
