Offshore Technical Expertise

The Offshore Technical Tools Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional field services to customers and providing operational support to all offshore and onshore activities in Australia and the regions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing, operating and troubleshooting oilfield products at client sites/rigs
  • Assembling, disassembling, testing and commissioning new tools and equipment
  • Servicing and maintaining all products according to maintenance manuals and procedures
  • Preparing job reports and documentation for all tool installation and offshore activities
  • Complying with Company's and Client's health, safety, environment and quality procedures and guidelines
  • Preparing tools and checklist for loadout and shipment offshore
  • Planning and coordinating logistics and shipment of all equipment
  • Maintaining accurate inventory, shipment and maintenance records of all equipment
  • Maintaining accurate safety and quality documentation and processes
  • Performing general maintenance and housekeeping of workshop

Requirements:

  • Degree/trade qualification in mechanical/engineering or extensive relevant practical experience in the oilfield services industry
  • Minimum 3 years of well site experience with drill pipe deployed downhole tools
  • Experience in liner hanger, wellbore clean up, fishing or retrievable bridge plug is an added advantage
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of petroleum operations and tools
  • Able to understand technical documents including drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures and manuals
  • Strong English skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to build a strong rapport with co-workers and customers
  • Able to work independently and adapt well in a challenging work environment
  • A self-starter, able to prioritize, organize and complete the targeted and strategic projects or assignments in a timely and professional manner
  • Able to travel to offshore facilities or remote locations at short notice
