As a project officer, you will play a crucial role in managing significant projects related to educational policies, procedures, and documentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing your project management expertise to oversee major projects involving educational policies, procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation.
  • Maintaining and reporting on the progress and outcomes of these specific projects and initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Conducting research and analysis into education, training, assessment, and associated issues impacting educationally focused projects and initiatives.
  • Preparing correspondence, submissions, and reports in response to regional and departmental requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engaging in high-level liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, community, and state government representatives.
  • Contributing to educator and organisational capability to achieve strategic goals and educational compliance requirements through educator training initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide expert advice and support on current and emerging issues within the Vocational Education and Training sector.
  • Skills in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives, projects, and programs.
  • High level written skills applicable to the development and implementation of educational policy and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.

While a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), Diploma of Training Design and Development, Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or Bachelor Degree in Teaching or related disciplines would be desirable, they are not essential for this position.
