We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Occupational Recognition Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of South Australia's economy.

The Occupational Recognition Service is a unique legislative power that certifies an individual's skills or experience as equivalent to that of a graduating apprentice or trainee. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing the legislative framework surrounding this service.

  • You will provide high-level strategic engagement with government and non-government stakeholders to advise on whole-of-government policy, Cabinet, Parliament, governance, legislative policy, and intergovernmental relations issues.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in analysing and evaluating complex policy issues and developing advice under broad direction.
  • A deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and the principles of effective regulation, with the ability to interpret legislation and develop programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading projects and managing resources to deliver services within timeframes and budget.
  • Capability to initiate and lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies, initiatives, and programs to support regulatory reform objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality briefings and consult with stakeholders to foster collaboration and achieve outcomes.
