Gough Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Strata Trust Accountant to join our client's team. As a key member of the financial management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial affairs.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Manage and reconcile strata trust accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Transactions: Process financial transactions, including levy notices and supplier payments, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of budgets for Annual General Meetings, ensuring that financial projections are accurate and realistic.
- Strata Trust Account Management: Handle transitions of strata trust accounts, ensuring a seamless handover and minimal disruption to the business.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports for stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on the company's financial performance.
- Debt Recovery: Manage debt recovery processes, ensuring that outstanding debts are collected in a timely and professional manner.
- BAS Lodgments: Handle BAS lodgments and prepare Annual Tax Return figures, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Assist in audits of trust accounts, providing accurate and timely information to auditors.
- Financial Inquiries: Address financial inquiries from stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on the company's financial affairs.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring that the company's financial position is stable and secure.
- Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Trust Accountant in Strata is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Trust Accounting and BAS lodgments is essential. Strong communication skills for client interactions are also required.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
