We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager - Projects to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust. As a key member of our Risk function, you will play a critical role in supporting the second line of accountability function on risk priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Risk with engagement of key stakeholders, including regulators, to ensure effective risk management practices.
- Support the Head of Risk with significant risk priorities and material change activities, driving continuous improvement of our risk management practices.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and risk management practices, ensuring risk registers and the identification of emerging risks are well established and embedded across the organization.
- Provide advice, insight, education, and training to business areas on the management of risks, including contributions to risk appetite statements, frameworks, policies, and other risk management activities.
- Lead and support controls assessment consultancy, providing expert guidance to assist business units to make informed decisions and appropriate levels of control.
- Proactively display an effective risk culture by discussing risk and controls within the business and routinely in business unit forums.
We are looking for a highly organized and communicative individual with top-notch interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for building a rapport with stakeholders at all levels to influence action and response to requests. You will also be expected to:
- Have experience and/or qualifications in operational risk management.
- Have deep knowledge of risk management and compliance objectives and approaches.
- Be able to work under broad direction, deal with competing demands, manage multiple initiatives, and effectively manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
