Coastal Structures Engineering Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced coastal structures engineer to join our team. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and managing the construction of coastal infrastructure projects across Australia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer with experience in the design of coastal and maritime structures. You will work closely with our team of coastal engineers, mechanical engineers, oceanographers, environmental scientists, naval architects, GIS specialists and approvals specialists on a diverse range of coastal and offshore projects.

You will have the opportunity to lead the engagement with end clients, conduct internal reviews, contribute to the development of templates and workflows and provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members.

  • Lead the design of coastal infrastructure including jetties, marinas, wharves, boat ramps, breakwaters, seawalls, revetments and other coastal protection infrastructure.
  • Act as a Project Manager for small to large scale projects.
  • Contribute to a diverse range of coastal and offshore projects.
  • Be a technical leader in the maritime structures area.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience post-graduation.
  • Experience in the design of coastal and maritime structures.
  • Experience working within the engineering/consulting sector.
  • Relevant registration with a recognised engineering/environmental body.
  • Unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia.
