Employment Lawyer

The role involves providing strategic employment law advice to ensure workplace practices are legally sound.

  • Manage legal responses and representation in employment law forums such as the Fair Work Commission, Fair Work Ombudsman, and Australian Human Rights Commission.
  • Provide expert advice on Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and employment contracts.
  • Support investigations, complaints, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Advise on employment contract templates, wages compliance and legal risks in customer bids.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and HR to ensure legally sound workplace practices.
  • Lead communication on employment law changes across the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 8-10+ years' experience as an Employment Lawyer with Fair Work Commission and regulatory experience.
  • A Bachelor of Laws and an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the Fair Work Act and related instruments.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience advising senior stakeholders on complex workplace matters.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach and comfort working autonomously.
