Job Title: Adolescent Medicine Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our Paediatric Medicine team as a Clinical Nurse in Adolescent Medicine.

  • This role will involve delivering specialist clinical care across adolescent medicine outpatient services, including eating disorders, gender diversity, adolescent transition, and complex medical clinics with a strong focus on person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions and support programs for young people and their families.
  • Leading and supporting clinical education by mentoring junior staff, facilitating student learning, and contributing to a positive development-focused team culture.
  • Driving service improvement by contributing to research, clinical audits, and the development of protocols while supporting change and innovation across adolescent health services.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practicing certificate.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience with demonstrated competence in adolescent healthcare.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior staff and support student learning within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound knowledge of healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and current clinical best practices.
