SMAART Recruitment is partnering with a leading finance company to find an experienced Credit and Collections Manager. This is a full-time permanent position in the Sydney CBD office, with hybrid work arrangements after onboarding. The salary is $100,000 - $130,000 + Super, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and drive payment collection goals and targets to enhance financial performance
  • Create and implement effective strategies to improve the collection of outstanding credit, ensuring timely payments
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on payment collections
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members
  • Execute collection policies and procedures to minimize arrears
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
  • Negotiate with customers in cases of non-payment, aiming to resolve issues amicably but firmly

Credit Functions:

  • Review credit applications and conduct thorough credit checks to assess risk
  • Structure lending agreements and perform detailed risk assessments
  • Consult and negotiate with clients on financial transactions, payment terms, and credit limits, ensuring their needs are met while safeguarding the company's interests
  • Ensure all credit activities adhere to relevant regulatory frameworks
