Job Description

The Safer Together Program is a statewide safety improvement initiative. It takes a systems approach to target key priority areas, focusing on creating a safer and more sustainable healthcare system for all Victorians.

This program will operate in partnership with the Grampians Local Health Service Network (GLHSN), supporting the successful implementation of the connected delivery model.

The Improvement Support role provides additional capacity at the network level to support the delivery of STP priority projects and activities.

This role offers targeted assistance across health services within the network, particularly where improvement capability or capacity is limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen Quality Improvement (QI) capability across the network by delivering or coordinating training, promoting use of resources and tools, and providing foundational education to health service teams.
  • Support health services in participating effectively in STP priority projects and promote shared learning across the network by providing localised project support, addressing participation barriers, and disseminating lessons learned.
  • Lead the design and delivery of local improvement projects aligned to STP priority projects, in consultation with the SCV team, to meet local health service context.
  • Support the design and delivery of locally developed QI projects that complement STP priority projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of quality improvement principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.

You will also need to be able to provide flexible, consulting support as per SCV funding guidelines.
