Role Overview
The Governance & Improvement work group focuses on providing systems and processes to ensure consistent, evidence-based best practices for delivering high-quality patient care.
This role supports the Lead and Assistant Director in informing improvements to ensure the effective delivery, development, and evaluation of systems and processes that support patient care excellence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating a strong knowledge of internal/external quality frameworks, relevant standards, and committee structures and functions.
- Supporting and promoting audit schedules, conducting audits, data analysis, and reporting using infographics and other formats to drive quality outcomes.
- Assisting clinical and corporate teams with quality improvement activities and gap analyses to identify areas for enhancement.
- Educating and supporting staff in using electronic tools like RiskMan, the Auditing Platform, and SharePoint to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
- Facilitating Practice Improvement Groups and collaborating with staff and consumers to drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Preparing reports and providing accreditation support or leadership as delegated to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements include:
- A clinical health qualification with mandatory AHPRA registration; post-graduate qualifications and experience in quality/improvement are preferred.
- A strong understanding of risk management, clinical redesign, and regulatory frameworks is essential for success in this role.
- Experience in coaching, leading organisational change, facilitating quality improvement initiatives, and supporting accreditation and education delivery is highly valued.
- Highly skilled in research, data analysis, and report writing; proficient in Microsoft Office and able to translate research and safety insights into practice to inform decision-making.
- Accountability, stress tolerance, planning ability, and a drive for continuous improvement are essential qualities for this role.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven abilities in negotiation, relationship-building, and staff development across multidisciplinary teams.
