Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Synechron. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of test plans and test cases for complex software applications to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure product quality
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on best testing practices
  • Conduct advanced testing phases, including system, integration, and performance testing
  • Troubleshoot, track, and document all issues discovered during testing and follow through to resolution
  • Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders
  • Proactively suggest improvements to software usability and performance based on testing insights
  • Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a software testing role with a proven track record of success as a Senior Test Engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments
