
National Demand Forecasting Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, review and signoff of sales forecasts for Infrabuild Reinforcing (IBR) and Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC), as well as developing an accurate estimate of future sales by working with sales, commercial and IBR and ARC lead teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain SIC supply chain and Advanced Planning Operations (APO) Master Data to support transactional, planning and reporting processes
- Execute statistical sales forecasting functionality in SAP APO tool
- Develop and implement improvements to forecast accuracy using available APO DP functionality
- Collaborate with other SAP APO users and experts across the business to share knowledge and best practices
- Create statistical sales forecasts in SAP APO tool, ensuring modelling is representative of historical data
- Recommend adjustments to improve forecast accuracy and accompanying context
- Ensure provision of material, including data and assumptions, to facilitate monthly National Demand Review Meetings to achieve consensus and signoff of IBR and ARC Regional Sales Forecasts
- Coach and support Regional Sales and Commercial teams to increase their knowledge and expertise in sales forecasting
- Ensure signed off SIC sales forecast is correctly fed into SIC supply planning and execution processes
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive alignment and implement sustainable demand planning processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Science
- Demonstrated experience leading Demand Planning function within complex distribution and manufacturing organisation
- Understanding and demonstrated ability to define and implement improvement initiatives across planning processes
- Experience working across complex business structures without direct line authority to deliver required business change
- Advanced skills and knowledge using SAP or Advanced Planning Systems and statistical forecasting techniques and systems
- Competent with techniques for change management and negotiation
