We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Career Development Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. As a Career Development Specialist, you will be responsible for working with participants in the Workforce Australia program to assist them in overcoming barriers to employment and successfully transitioning into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of job seekers">
  • Actively engage with 'work ready' job seekers to secure sustainable employment outcomes, including reverse marketing to employers">
  • Clearly identify and address barriers preventing jobseekers from being job ready">
  • Provide participants with the tools and confidence to enter the workforce">

  • A strong understanding of the labour market and the skills required to succeed in it">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
  • A confident and trustworthy approach, with a proven ability to problem-solve and adapt to challenging situations">
