About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Research Fellow to support junior nurses in their research endeavors at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

In this key role, you will mentor novice researchers and oversee the junior nursing research program, known as the Ann Cook Clinical Nursing Scholarship program.

While leading impactful research projects that enhance patient outcomes and nursing practices.

Be responsible for:

  • Developing training programs
  • Contributing to publications and presentations, potential to attend conferences
  • Mentoring novice nursing researchers across SVHM
  • Identify funding opportunities to support these initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting novice researchers and junior staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting independent and collaborative research in a healthcare setting.

About Education and Learning

St Vincent's Education and Learning has a proud history as a leader in clinical and non-clinical education both on a state and national basis.

Our multi campus department facilitates education for staff across their career path.

This position will primarily be based at the Fitzroy campus of SVHM with the expectation of travel to other campuses and health services as required.
