Medical Receptionist Job Summary">

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Open and close clinic as per set procedure
  • Greet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Make appointments for patients
  • Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently
  • Process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transactions
  • Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover
  • Knowledge of MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
  • Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc courteously and helpfully
  • Attend to patient enquiries
  • Filling in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave
  • Maintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy
  • Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
  • Complete recalls
  • Support day-to-day operations of the medical centre
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
  • High level of computer literacy and IT knowledge
  • Experience using Best Practice software desirable
  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Children clearance
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Immunisation Record
  • Driving Licence/ Photo ID
