Job Overview

The Customer Service Coordinator role involves leading a team of staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences across the library network.

This senior leadership position requires managing processes and services to meet the evolving needs of the community, drafting policy development, strategic planning, financial management, workforce development, information technology implementation, and operational plans.

Key responsibilities include supporting and developing a team of Customer Service and Branch staff through regular meetings, data collection, evaluation, individual work reviews, annual work plans, and communications.

Experience in public libraries, including supervisory roles, is essential for this challenging yet rewarding position.

The ideal candidate should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in library and information studies, conferring eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

  • Completion of a degree or Post Graduate level library and information studies, conferring eligibility for associate membership of the ALIA
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Experience in supervisory roles within public libraries, including leading staff teams, resolving customer issues, providing quality customer services, implementing information technology systems, devising and implementing customer service programs, developing and implementing library policies and plans, identifying and evaluating training needs, and developing and implementing training programs
