
Senior Plant Efficiency Specialist

This position is crucial for the effective management of chemical processes within a power station or heavy industry setting.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Coordinator, responsible for ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and reliable performance and operation of chemical plant and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Review and monitor chemical control parameters, optimising plant and process conditions to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve plant upgrades, projects, improvements, and modifications, identifying and investigating plant issues, trends, and risks with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the achievement of chemical process control and Asset, Operations, and Maintenance management strategies by:
- Coordinating and liaising with internal and external resources to optimise plant processes, performance, and maintenance.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and interactions with Maintenance and Operations Groups and Chemical Asset personnel.
- Undertake routine chemical analysis and calibration, operation, and maintenance of chemical plant and laboratory instrumentation, analyse data and report accordingly.
- Attend, undertake analysis, monitor, and assess, advise all stakeholders on chemical aspects of chemical and unit plant returns-to-service and coming out-of-service operations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with statutory or recommended requirements for chemical plant condition and performance, including chemical out-of-limits, pressure vessel inspections, hazardous substances, dangerous goods, and legionella control in cooling towers.
- Manage contracts with Chemical Suppliers.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in safe working principles, procedures, and methods applied in power stations or heavy industry.
- Chemical Engineering degree, chemistry degree, or chemical diploma with experience in power station chemical plant, unit operations, and asset management.
- Personnel undertaking undergraduate chemical engineering, chemistry, or chemical diploma studies would be considered for the role as a developmental position at an appropriate rate dependent on experience and level of studies undertaken & completed, and would work under the guidance of a person/s with the requisite qualifications.
