Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sales/Horticulturalist/Plant Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine a passion for plants with excellent sales and customer service skills. You will provide expert advice, assist customers with plant selection and care, and help maintain the overall health and presentation of our plant stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers, offering expert advice on plant selection, care, pest/disease management, and landscaping.

  • Maintain and display plants, ensuring they are healthy, well-watered, and attractively presented.

  • Identify and diagnose plant health issues, providing appropriate solutions or treatments.

  • Process sales transactions and handle customer inquiries efficiently.

  • Keep up-to-date with current horticultural trends, products, and best practices.

  • Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and receiving deliveries.

  • Participate in workshops, demonstrations, and community events as a plant expert.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in horticulture, plant care, or a related field (qualification in horticulture is a plus).

  • Strong sales and customer service skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical ability to lift and move plants, soil, and gardening supplies.

  • Passion for plants, gardening, and sustainability.
