We are seeking skilled Rural Healthcare Specialists to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will deliver culturally safe and patient-centered primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Job Description

Rural Healthcare Specialist Role:

  • Provide culturally responsive patient consultations and manage chronic disease and preventative health plans.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health teams to support maternal and child health, mental health, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Utilize telehealth and local referral pathways to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with AGPAL and ISO clinical governance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Vocationally Registered (VR) GP with Fellowship from RACGP, ACRRM, or an equivalent college.
  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in general practice, ideally with exposure to rural, remote, or Aboriginal health settings.
  • Strong understanding of cultural safety principles.
  • Proficiency in Medicare billing and patient care planning.
Benefits

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:

  • Base salary ranging from $312,000 to $390,000.
  • $30,000 superannuation.
  • $300 per week vehicle allowance.
  • Free furnished housing or a $450/week housing allowance (location dependent).
  • Work Incentive Payments (WIP) between $18,000 and $35,000 per year, depending on location.
  • Advance Rural WIP of up to $10,000 per year, based on skills, tenure, and eligibility.
