Billing and Credit Risk Management Role

Are you a seasoned risk professional looking for a challenging opportunity to make a real impact in billing and credit management? This is an exciting chance to join our team as a Billing and Credit Risk Consultant, where you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks across various business units.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in credit risk management and remediation. You will be responsible for evaluating the nature of risk based on likelihood, sensitivity, impact scope, and interim remediation work using our Optus risk matrix for prioritization.

  • Evaluating the nature of risk based on likelihood, sensitivity, impact scope, and interim remediation work using our Optus risk matrix for prioritization.
  • Identifying business ownership, confirming acceptance, managing stakeholders, and supporting remediation activities across various business units.
  • Maintaining the B&C Risk Register and attending monthly change/risk meetings.
  • Preparing risk reports for senior management and collating closure documentation before closing any risk.
  • Collaborating with the Risk Group to reflect B&C risks, maintaining organizational accountability, and leading B&C risk workshops to align risk resolution efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling internal risks and non-compliance issues.
  • Supporting risk remediation activities related to financial impacts, including credit adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and debt buybacks.

  • Proven experience in credit risk management and remediation.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to implement clear recommendations for preventative measures to reduce incidents.
  • Strong engagement with Group Risk, Billing, and Credit business units, as well as across other areas of Optus.
