Job Description

The Credit Risk Expert will play a pivotal role in evaluating the creditworthiness of applicants, utilizing industry expertise and commercial acumen to secure business within established risk parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate commercial loan applications for $250K-$500K
  • Analyze bank statements for low-doc loans up to $250K
  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial statements and calculate industry and credit risk
  • Presentation of deals to senior stakeholders with comprehensive understanding of risk and associated mitigants
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments with clients and stakeholders to collect additional information
  • Liaise with senior members to discuss complex scenarios and appeals
  • Prepare clear and informative credit papers for each application
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a credit analyst or underwriter required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting desirable but not necessary
  • Previously held delegated lending authority
  • Experience in commercial lending
  • Strong credit risk acumen and commercial judgement
  • Familiarity with personal and company credit reports, ASIC searches, and other relevant background information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and ability to follow processes
