
Officer in Charge of Reintegration Support

The role of Community Corrections Officer is a challenging and rewarding career in the public service. As a Community Corrections Officer, you will be working collaboratively with offenders to assess, develop, implement and monitor case management plans that aim to reduce the potential for reoffending.

- Assessing offender needs and developing tailored case management plans">
- Providing written and verbal reports to courts and releasing authorities">
- Conducting home visit assessments and supervising offenders living in the community">
- Advise and directing offenders to appropriate community-based programs">
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with stakeholders">
- Strong analytical and organisational skills">
- Capacity to meet critical deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively">
This role requires a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice or the ability to achieve this qualification within 12 months of commencing employment. You must also complete designated ACT Corrective Services Community Operations suite of training programs within 12 months of commencing employment.
">Applicants may be required to undergo psychological aptitude testing as part of the assessment process. A current driver's licence is essential, as is a pre-employment medical.
">Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au).
