Job Title: Freight Transport Specialist

This is a great opportunity to be part of a team working towards delivering premium, sustainable seafood to the world.

We are seeking an experienced freight transport specialist to join our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective transport services with a focus on safety, operational needs, cost effectiveness and time management.

The ideal candidate will have current HC truck license and proven experience in the industry. A thorough understanding of laws covering dangerous good transport, crane operation, dogging duties and forklift operation is also required.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will also be responsible for performing maintenance checks and required documentation on heavy vehicles and plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective transport service with a focus on safety, operational needs, cost effectiveness and time management.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of transportation activities.
Requirements:
  • Current HC Truck Licence and proven experience.
  • CV Crane and Dogging Licence.
  • Thorough understanding of laws covering dangerous good transport, crane operation, dogging duties and forklift operation.
  • Ability to work a rotating 5 days on/2 days off roster including some weekend work.
