Older Person Mental Health Service Leader

This is a leadership role within our team that offers opportunities for capability development and recovery-oriented care. The Team Leader will provide clinical leadership and support to consumers, carers and families in a dynamic environment.
Working 38 hours per week, this full-time position involves providing clinical leadership and support with a comprehensive understanding of issues affecting older persons experiencing mental health problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely admission and discharge to aid patient flow and community care.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain clinical responsibility and provide face-to-face contact with consumers, carers and families.
- Initiate Quality Improvement projects and promote a culture of clinical practice improvement within the OPMH team.
As a member of the Management Team, you will participate in strategic, business and operational planning within the service. Contributions to Mental Health Drug Alcohol (MHDA) and NSW State Benchmarking activities are expected.

Qualifications and Experience Required- Relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with current registration.
- Commitment to empowering and supporting older mental health consumers with dignity and a recovery focus.
- Ability to lead a diverse multidisciplinary team.
