**Job Title:** Team Leader Older Persons Mental Health Service

 

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support, demonstrating knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the issues that affect older persons experiencing mental health problems.

The successful candidate will establish a close working relationship with stakeholders to ensure the timely admission and discharge of patients, assist in patient flow and provide best practice community care.

You will have a clinical responsibility which involves face-to-face consumer, carer and family contact and support, as well as requiring the incumbent to work within the multi-disciplinary team.

About the Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience as a level 2 or above (for Occupational Therapists and Social Workers)
  • Eligibility for membership with AASW (for Social Workers)
  • A Master's degree or higher (for Clinical Psychologists)
