Asset Manager Job Description

As a key member of the BW Offshore team, the Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance and maintenance of the BW Opal FPSO. This includes managing contractual obligations, promoting local content, and coordinating activities to ensure effective support.

About the Role

BW Offshore is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join its onshore team in Darwin. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, marine, or process engineering, and will be able to lead and promote effective generation, collection, and communication of lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contractual obligations, including monitoring and control of contractual and commercial issues related to the operation of the Asset.
  • Actively promote local content incorporation into service delivery.
  • Coordinate all activities related to the operation of the Asset and the operations/base office to provide effective and prompt support.
  • Oversee and manage the operating budget, including monitoring and control, continual update and forecasting of planned activities.
  • Support the Asset Management Team with leads of each relevant department as direct reports.
  • Report key activities, performance indicators, and results to the Head of Operations.
Requirements
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in mechanical, marine, or process engineering or similar education.
  • Long relevant experience, ideally including FPSO experience, may replace educational requirements.
