Warehouse Manager - Furniture

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of our furniture warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all stock is clean, presentable, in working order and available to meet event schedules.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the furniture warehouse
  • Management of dispatches, returns, inventory, and warehouse workflows efficiently using Point of Rental (POR)
  • Maintenance of 100% order accuracy in picking and dispatching furniture in line with documentation
  • Management of delivery and return logistics, meeting customer expectations on timing and presentation
  • Maintenance of accurate inventory, including reporting and managing lost or damaged items
  • Implementation and improvement of the full 'shelf-to-shelf' cycle of stock handling
  • Maintenance of rigorous quality control standards, ensuring items leave the warehouse event-ready
  • Maximisation of team efficiency, management of labour costs, and maintenance of rosters in line with workload
  • Leadership with a strong safety culture, identification and mitigation of hazards and promotion of WHS best practices
  • Maintenance of warehouse layout and setup optimised for space, safety and workflow
  • Management of administration, staff rosters, delivery runs, and team productivity
  • Collaboration with the Structures Manager and Sales team to ensure seamless operational execution
  • Oversight of storage conditions, ensuring all stock is protected and well-maintained
  • Hands-on involvement in loading and unloading vehicles when required
  • Leadership of recruitment, onboarding, and training of new warehouse staff
  • Fostering of a positive team environment, maintenance of morale, professionalism and high performance

  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics or hire operations
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience managing and motivating teams
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Forklift licence preferred
