About the Job:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our site compliance, maintain and extend NATA accreditation, manage audits, develop and monitor quality, safety, and environmental systems, oversee LIMS development and rollout, and coordinate new projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of NATA, TGA, and Safety regulations
  • Maintain existing accreditations for the site and specific tests, while driving compliance and achieving NATA accreditation for additional targeted tests
  • Coordinate training programs for NATA/TGA/Safety requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Lab Managers to ensure a consistent approach across all labs, including CofA's, staff training, calibration verifications, validations, and incident reports
  • Plan, train, and coordinate internal audits, management reviews, and continual improvement initiatives across all labs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in laboratory quality management & legal compliance for quality/safety/TGA/NATA
  • Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to the quality of laboratory services
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality management systems in coordination with IT and Business Systems Officer
  • Coordinate the rollout of quality management systems for every lab in collaboration with Lab Managers, ensuring effective training and problem resolution
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement to achieve full implementation of Online Sample Request System across all labs
  • Contribute to and investigate potential new tests, develop and implement new tests, and continuously improve processes for efficiency and cost savings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (science or similar)
  • NATA training and internal auditor training
  • Experience in a similar role ensuring NATA compliance
  • Commercial laboratory or NATA lab experience
  • LIMS experience or similar
  • Internal audits experience
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence others to drive system consistency
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Bachelor of Chemistry)
  • Experience in commercial lab environments, agriculture, or environmental industries
