Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

Leads site compliance, maintains and extends NATA accreditation, manages audits, develops and monitors quality, safety, and environmental systems, oversees LIMS development and rollout, and coordinates new projects as directed.

About the Role:
  • Becomes the resident expert on all things NATA, TGA, and Safety.
  • Maintains existing accreditations for the site and specific tests.
  • Drives compliance and achieves NATA accreditation for additional tests targeted by management.
  • C coordinate training and audits to ensure consistent lab operations.
  • Collaborates with Lab Managers to ensure a unified approach across all labs.
  • Plans, trains, and coordinates internal audits, management reviews, incident reports, and continual improvement across all labs.
  • Remains current with developments and best practices in laboratory quality management & legal compliance for quality/safety/TGA/NATA.
  • Investigates and addresses any issues or complaints related to lab services.
  • Develops and overviews the entire system in coordination with IT and Business Systems Officers.
  • Collaborates on rollout of the system for every lab in collaboration with Lab Managers.
  • Monitors training and proactively addresses problems.
  • Drives improvement and achieves full implementation of Online Sample Request System in all labs and trains customers in its use.
  • Contributes to and investigates potential new tests.
  • Develops and implements new tests.
  • Continuously improves processes, efficiency, and seeks cost savings.
