Job Title: Data Center Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to manage the day-to-day operations of our data centers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, which includes managing infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals.

About the Role:
  • Engage in physical activities related to data center management, including planning, tracking capacity, rack deployment, cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
  • Maintain high system reliability by resolving trouble tickets efficiently.
  • Escalate and troubleshoot technical issues on various platforms, including Linux servers, virtualization, and power/mechanical systems.
  • Remediate physical layer outages, both Systems & Network.
  • Participate in data center power and cooling events.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience with server hardware.
  • 1+ year of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
  • Server Hardware Troubleshooting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP).
  • Previous experience working in a data center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, aisle containment).

This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift and move equipment up to 20 kg. You may also work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines. This role involves covering 24x7 shift rotations.
