About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Robert Walters Australia. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our market performance through strategic pricing, execution, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and contribute to security operations monitoring and management, ensuring the highest level of security posture for our organization.
  • Identify security vulnerabilities, create mitigation strategies, and implement effective solutions to strengthen our overall security.
  • Lead and mentor a local team of security engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with various teams to implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring seamless integration across departments.
  • Take the lead in security incident response, managing efforts across global teams to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure the local team's activities align with global security objectives, driving a culture of security excellence throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a security engineering role, with a proven track record of success in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with incident response, risk management, and security monitoring, with a strong understanding of security tools and technologies.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience with security professionals, with a focus on developing and growing talent.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including network security, endpoint protection, and log management.
  • Strong programming, automation, and scripting skills, with a ability to develop and implement effective security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
