Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner

This role involves providing life-changing therapy to individuals with challenging behaviors as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

About the Role:
  • Work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centers.
  • Utilize assessment and intervention skills to support clients in achieving their goals and maximizing funding opportunities.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and their supports (family, caregivers, friends).
  • Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilizing positive behavior support principles.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA).
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapy to individuals using positive behavior support principles.
  • Assess and intervene to support clients in achieving their goals and maximizing funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and their supports.
  • Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans with function-based strategies.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA).
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Master's or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration.
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
