Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Trainee

About the Role

This position involves working on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components. As a trainee, you will learn to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and software. You will also conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

The role includes performing routine maintenance and repairs, overhauling engines and other critical components, and managing inventory of parts and supplies. A strong work ethic, dedication, and excellent communication skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, trailer repairs, and other vehicle components.
  • Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Overhauls: Overhaul engines and other critical components to extend the life and performance of vehicles.
Requirements
