Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of mining engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
  • Drive a safety-first culture, promoting a high-performance work environment and exceptional client service
  • Develop and implement medium- to long-term mine designs, ensuring optimal resource utilization and efficiency
  • Manage daily to long-term planning and scheduling, ensuring seamless project execution
  • Oversee project management and evaluation, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site-based teams, ensuring effective operations and maintenance
  • Conduct technical analysis and assessments, providing expert recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Prepare and present high-quality reports and presentations, communicating complex technical information effectively
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a mining engineer, with a strong background in open pit operations
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, including a degree in mine engineering
  • Proven experience in using mine design and scheduling software, such as Vulcan, Alastri, Deswik, Minescape, XPAC, and XACT
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
