Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Pipeline Specialist to provide technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines.

About the Role
  1. Provide expert technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines, including development and maintenance of FEED and concept design studies.
  2. Support the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria, and pipeline alignment sheets.
  3. Contribute to risk assessments and related workshops.
  4. Prepare cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages.
  5. Develop piping and pressure vessel design documents, and analyze static equipment.
  6. Conduct mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction.
  7. Write technical reports as required.
About You
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis.
  • Proven experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian standards, acts, and regulations.
  • Progress towards or achievement of Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects independently with conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy industries.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
