We are seeking a skilled professional to support our team as an Assistant Electorate Officer.

About the Role
  • Support staff with administrative tasks, including diary management and event planning.
  • Manage a high-volume inbox, respond to phone calls and triage enquiries.
  • Assist with social media monitoring, content creation and online engagement.
  • Provide confidential secretarial assistance to elected representatives.
  • Liaise with constituents, provide information, support and assistance, and collaborate with community groups.
  • Engage with community groups directly or through established external forums.

About You:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in PC software packages is required, with the ability to learn new skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills are necessary for working under pressure and prioritising tasks efficiently.
  • Able to work autonomously as part of a small team.
  • Familiarity with the political landscape is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • An ability to create and manage social media content is advantageous.
